My name is James M. Eckstein. I am currently a third year student at Danville Community College, in Danville, VA. In May of 2013, I  graduated with a degree in Mechanical Design, specializing in Computer-Aided Drafting, and a degree in Residential Design and Estimation. Throughout my years in college, I have worked alongside my fellow students to design mechanical parts using technical software such as  AutoCAD and Solidworks. As I mentioned earlier, I am also double majoring in Residential Design and Estimation. With this degree, I have learned to design residential homes in a design software called Chief Architect, and estimate the cost of production. Recently, I had the priveledge to undertake a internship role with the local Ikea plant. My duties were to research and update any existing plant layout. I also was in charge of updating incorrect parts drawings, so that the correct part could be made.
